The project entitled “Climate vulnerability assessment and resilience strategy for mass transit corridors in Kumasi” seeks to assess the impact of climate hazards (flood, fire and extreme heat waves) on the main transport corridors of the city in order to define a new resilient corridor that will provide an optimized service to the citizens of Kumasi. The project includes a vulnerability analysis of the new corridor with an impact study associated with the different climate hazards which, together with a criticality and cost-benefit study, leads to the prioritization of alternatives and the definition of a series of necessary adaptation measures to be taken into account in the final design of the corridor.
