On Thursday, November 14th, the CICCP-ICE Bilateral Summit on “Innovation and Sustainability for a Low-Carbon Future” was held in Madrid. The event brought together British and Spanish experts who shared their experiences and insights on the PAS 2080 standard, aimed at achieving sustainability and decarbonization goals in the construction and civil engineering sectors.
INES, represented by Marta Pertierra, participated in the round table discussion “For a Low-Carbon Future,” where she emphasized the critical role of maintenance in decarbonizing transportation infrastructure. Marta addressed the challenges of balancing decarbonization goals with the need to ensure infrastructure resilience, as well as the tools available to asset managers to effectively incorporate this perspective into asset management practices.
Special thanks to the Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos for organizing the event.
