INES has once again participated in the prestigious biennial Understanding Risk conference, organized by the World Bank and GFDRR, held this year in Himeji, Japan. This global event brings together experts and professionals from various disciplines to discuss and share advancements in disaster risk management. INES’ continued participation in this forum reaffirms its commitment to innovation and the enhancement of resilience against climate and natural risks.
As part of the Resilient Infrastructure technical session, INES presented a methodology for analyzing the vulnerability of transportation networks, with a focus on its application in Small Island Developing States (SIDS). During this session, the company shared a recently completed case study: the vulnerability analysis and development of a climate resilience strategy for the Federated States of Micronesia. This work exemplifies INES’ advanced approach to creating comprehensive solutions to tackle climate challenges and improve the sustainability of critical infrastructure in vulnerable regions.
