The renewal of the Tarragona-Barcelona-France railway line, involved the replacement of four steel bridges.
- Riera Vilamajor PK 148/990
- Riera de Mogent PK 149/400; 149/924
- Riera de Repaix PK 165/340

INES, carried out the project design as well as the works supervision. The replaced bridges date from 1950-60. Three of them are steel web girder bridges, while the fourth one is a Warren steel lattice truss. The new bridges have the same typology of the replaced ones, being changed in one of the cases the ballast bed for a concrete slab track.
The two main problems that overcame were, on one hand, the considerable weight to lift combined with the diffi culty of positioning the cranes, and on the other hand, as a result of the high freight and passenger traffic among the line, the traffi c could not be disrupted more than 8 hours.
Therefore, in those 8 hours the existing catenary was removed together with the existing bridge. The new bridge was installed, the tracks placed and the electrification restored.
